Hi guys !
Here you are the text on NOMOPHOBIA we have seen in class.
Remember that you have to give a one minute oral presentation on the topic.
I recommend finding some more information and create your own opinion about it.

“If you really
want to do something, you will find a way.
If you don’t, you will find an excuse”
¡Gracias Myriam !

TRANSLATION
On February
13th we had a talk by Miryam Fernández, a businesswoman and a sworn translator,
who explained what her job is about and shared her experiences with us.
She told us many interesting things about
the different types of translation, the kind she is specialised in and the
different ways that translation and interpretation are present in our lives,
even though we don´t always realise about it.
Regarding her personal experience she said
that she has had both, funny and frightening moments during her career, but she
loves her job and knows that bad moments are part of life too.
We have had a perfect hour, laughing and
learning new things.
Sara Clare Menassa (3º B)
….. She
also told us stories about her experiences in her work , like interferences in the headphones
with a taxi company ,or a very scary story about a mafia criminal that gave her
a death threat if she said what she had heard.
I
really enjoyed that talk and now I am thinking seriously about being a
professional translator . I remember something she said and I liked the most :
“If
you want to do it, you will find a way, if you don’t want to do it, you will
find an excuse “
