ERASMUS + PROJECT : GOODBYE MY FRIENDS

The families that have hosted the group of students from the Erasmus + project in Italy and Romania bid farewell to their guests after a week in Fuengirola. The students of the IES Eduardo Janeiro of 2º and 3º of ESO that participated in the Project have accompanied during the week their correspondent in the activities around the theme of the Project "Mantaining an evergreen teaching in 3.0" this year dedicated to the Environment and linked to the Aldea Program of Junta de Andalucia , coordinated by Ms Cristina Guerrero.

On the second day of their stay in Fuengirola, the students made their presentations about the environment .These lessons were completed when they visited  La Cala de Mijas  accompanied by the Biology teachers Pablo Gavete and Inma Mendoza  to study the environment following the guidelines of the programme Correlimos and make their own  discoveries. In the afternoon the group had a sports day on the beach accompanied by PE teacher Antonio Yeste with group games and lots of fun.

The third day, after the presentation of the work of the Italian and Romanian partners of the Project , the students learned aboutthe environment andhistoryin Mijas before they headed to the town to visit the Museum of the locality guided by the teachers Mª Llanos Vico and Ana Quijano and see the spectacular views over the coast.
In our presentations we have also talked about how the teachers have learned to use different IT resources and one of the most popular has been padlet. Our students have become very fond of this versatile and easy to use tool. You can see the personal experience shared with the makers and some examples of the use in class

ERASMUS PLUS PROJECT : CHANGING LIVES, OPENING MINDS

Cambiando vidas, abriendo mentes

PROYECTO ERASMUS PLUS

 I.E.S. Eduardo Janeiro, (Fuengirola, Spain )  I.P.S.S.C.T.S L Einaudi ( Varese , Italy) M Ionescu (Bucarest, Romania)

A group of teachers and students from Italy and Romania, European partners of  our school IES Eduardo Janeiro, are visiting Fuengirola as part of the 2017-18  mobilities in our Erasmus Plus project working with ICT. In their stay they will have a learning and teaching activity programme on the environment visiting the different areas in Fuengirola and nearby.

The students are hosted by Spanish families,a total number of 28,who have  given their  guests a warm welcome as if they were part of the family.

The day started in the  gym with ice breaker activities with our language assistant  Madison perkosky and Ana Quijano,  the English teacher. Then they went to see a maths lesson which combined IT resources with a flipped lesson to learn and play with geometry. They followed with the students digital oral presentations about the area where they introduced the locality, the province, the economy in the area and the environmental  problems  which our economies face.

The school held in the same day the programme " Cuidemos la Costa "( Let's look after our Coastline),an extension of the Junta de Andalucia ALDEA programme which included workshops in Spanish for 4th ESO students and an exhibition in the hall about the flora and fauna in our Coasts. The students  who attended the talks in Spanish became the guides to the exhibition explaining it to the Erasmus +  European students and teachers . This preparatory activity was followed by a trip to the coast where they could see and study the beach environment on a hands- on lesson along La Cala beach. They had also walked to discover and study the flora in the countryside and had a view of Fuengirola from La Cantera park. The students were asked to take pictures so that they could later identify the names of the plants using the app from the website : identify.plantnet-project.org.

3ESO I do it, I learn it

3ESO Integrated unit : Different economies
